Demokritos submits a proposal to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) for the SNF Industrial Fellowship Program. The proposal is selected for funding and an agreement is signed.

For Demokritos, a public research organization, in order to accommodate the needs of the new Program. administrative procedures had to be adapted including: Auditing procedures for the financial evaluation of the participating companies and theadoption of new types of Fellowship contracts.

The first bunch of successful candidates and companies signed contractual agreements. 63 projects were approved from about 120 submitted proposals.

Official kick-off meeting of the SNF Industrial Fellowship Program at Demokritos.

2nd Open Call, an additional 9 Fellowships have been awarded.

2020Demokritos was nominated as one of the three finalists for the EU Enterprise Promotion award. The selection was primarily based on the successful execution of the Industrial Fellowship Program as well as for operating Lefkippos the Attica Tech Park and AHEDD the Attica Hub for the Economy of Data and Devices.
